The aim of the Summer School 2017 How to learn and teach outdoor recreation sports is:
  • to introduce students/teachers with didactics of learning and teaching of summer outdoor recreational sport kinds including parkour, canoeing, hiking and different outdoor folk games etc.
  • to improve knowledge and skills to use learning and information technologies needed for organization and management of outdoor recreation sports;
  • to improve different nation students/teachers’ cooperation and communication skills;
  • to play, train and participate in adventure outdoor and recreation programmes.

​Practical and Theoretical Key Topics of the Summer School
Parkour, outdoor folk games and dance, canoeing tour, hiking tour, orienteering, different outdoor games, philosophy of the outdoor education, didactics of outdoor education, conception of multiple skills and their development (H.Gardner), learning and teaching technology – SOLO Taxonomy (J.Atherton).
 
Should remember:
  • 2-3 students and 1-2 teachers/professors from each University are welcome to participate in the Summer School.
  • All teachers/professors are very welcome to present own practical/theoretical/scientific experience during the Summer School.
  • Students from each country should give a presentation of their country and university.
  • Every morning students from each country should organize morning exercises.
  • Health insurance is required for students/teachers during the Summer School.
 
    
Participation fee of the Summer School - 210 EUR
 
Summer school participation fee include:
Accommodation for a night in a Summer School hostel, rent of the workshop room, food, rent of boat and buss, summer school programme, handouts, maps, portfolio, coffee and tea during breaks, certificate.

Recreation in historical environment in Latvia

Latvian Academy of Sport Education, Latvia, Jozef Pilsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw, Faculty of PE in Biala Podlaska, Poland, State College of Computer Science and Business Administration in Lomza, Poland, Swedish School of Sport and Health Science, Sweden, University of Malaga, Spain in collaboration with Latvian Association of Outdoor Education and Recreation.

This year Summer school was organised by Latvian Academy of Sport Education (LASE) and Latvian association of Recreation Education. The topic of summer school was Recreation in historical environment in Latvia. The aim of summer school was to exchange experience and improve knowledge in field of recreation for sport specialists and students from European countries, as well as veicināt informal education – students and teachers were learning together from each other. It was perfect possibility for teachers and students to learn in two ways – students from teachers and teachers from students.
Participants of this year Summer school were from 7 European countries. Teachers and students from Poland – Jozef Pilsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw, Faculty of PE in Biala Podlaska, Gdansk University of Physical Education and Sport, State College of Computer Science and Business Administration in Lomza, from Sweden – Swedish School of Sport and Health Science, from Lithaunia – Lithuanian Sport University, from Spain – University of Malaga and Latvia – Latvian Academy of Sport Education.
